Unvaccinated people account for most of mortality cases from coronavirus -Tsoi

At the Government meeting, the Healthcare Minister Alexei Tsoi said that mortality from coronavirus among unvaccinated patients is 97.7 percent, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
"When evaluating the vaccination effect, it was found that the unvaccinated account for 99.9 percent of the incidence. Proportion of post-vaccination cases is 0.1 percent. The limit weight of mortality among the unvaccinated is 97.7 percent, while the vaccinated account for 2. 3 percent. At the same time, the vaccinated had serious illnesses, "the minister said.
He noted that in Kazakhstan 5.9 million people were vaccinated with the first component, coverage of the subject population is 59%. 4.5 million were vaccinated with the second component, with a coverage of 45.2%.
"The lowest percentage of vaccination coverage with the first dose is in Mangistau region - 33.1 percent. Regions are provided with sufficient vaccines, delivered according to the schedule. We are moving on optimistic scenario," Tsoi concluded.
