Tokayev: Affordable and effective medicine is a nationwide priority

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wrote about development of the healthcare system in Kazakhstan on Twitter, Kazpravda.kz reports.
Today is World Health Day, the President reminds, adding that in the challenging environment it has become clear how important effective health care is in the lives of all people. Since the pandemic outbreak, doctors have been at the forefront of the fight against coronavirus, selflessly saving lives.
An affordable and efficient health care system is a national priority. In 2020, funding for medicine increased by 1.5 times, the President wrote on Twitter, expressing gratitude to the doctors for their tireless work to protect the health of our citizens.
