In the North Kazakhstan region, it is planned to remove the lockdown by mid-December. Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov announced this at a briefing in the CCS, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"The number of cases of infection and hospitalization is decreasing daily. About 94% of all cases have recovered. There is no significant burden on the health care system. The occupancy of beds in hospitals does not exceed 36%. The number of critically ill patients or patients who need to be connected to mechanical ventilation does not increase either. Planned hospitalizations were not stopped. Therefore, based on the current epidemiological situation, by mid-December we plan to remove the lockdown on weekends and holidays, as well as significantly weaken restrictive measures in the regional center," the akim said.
He added that a new infectious diseases hospital opened in the region. Ventilators and necessary medical equipment were purchased.
"The provision of ambulances has been increased from 76 to 100%. The medical and pharmacy networks are provided with a sufficient volume of drugs," Aksakalov concluded.
