In Nur-Sultan, due to the growth of patients with coronavirus, two additional hospitals were converted into infectious diseases hospitals. The head of the public health department, Timur Muratov said that patients with a medium and severe course of the disease will be hospitalized in the converted narcological block of the Mental Health Center, which is on the left bank, and also in a military hospital. In the two hospitals there are also resuscitation beds with all the necessary medical equipment for the treatment of CVI.

"The surge in the incidence in our country occurs precisely in June-July. Last summer, the peak of the incidence was precisely these months, because it is difficult to keep the population in their homes - visiting public places of mass gathering, non-compliance with sanitary requirements. In addition, it is a vacation season, schoolchildren have vacations, etc. This all leads to a rise in the incidence and occupancy of beds," the head of the Public Health Department said.

Today, in Nur-Sultan, 1,877 patients are in infectious diseases hospitals, bed occupancy is 77%. Of these, 147 (138 with CVI) patients are in the intensive care unit (80%), on mechanical ventilation - 30 people.
